Spring is here!

The entire cemetery has been mowed. Except for the bluebonnets of course. I am happy about that. The North end was mowed at a high level so as to not ruin the mower. It was a slow go but I got’er dun. I placed temporary head stones at the sunken areas on the North end. The people passing by noticed the stone markers, they did not know there were graves in that area. I also found what looks to be one grave in the north end at the base of one of the Oak trees. It lines up perfectly with a row in the Walden section. I had a new visitor Shirley Barber of Georgetown. She is a descendant of Lavina Chapman. She is very happy about the way the cemetery looks. I told her I would reset and repair her family’s headstones if she was able to get some epoxy. I also moved the old gravestone base to its new location.

Shhh…it’s a secret…..we have a Bluebonnet patch…..Actually it’s more “patch” than Bluebonnets but it’s still rather nice/Stm
