Eller, RW

Eller, RW. March 2011. Between Wilson Woody and the Chapmans.

Found today.  Although for a long time I have thought that something was written on this stone,  I could not discern anything clearly, so I dismissed it as my imagination.  But today, just passing by on my way to do something else, the afternoon sun created a shadow at the perfect angle for the writing to clearly appear.  If you believe in serendipity, this place is full of it.

Due to the proximity of Wilson Woody’s grave, this grave, which appears to be that of a baby, is undoubtedly a child of James T. and Laura (WOODY) ELLER, and a grandchild of Wilson Woody.  In the 1900 Williamson County Texas census, Laura was the mother of 10 children, 7 living.  In the 1910 Williamson County Texas census, Laura was the mother of 11 children (Andy Eller had been born), 8 living .  Therefore, this baby died before 1900.  I don’t think family researchers are aware of this baby.  I have a feeling the baby was named after James ELLER’S father, Robert Woodson ELLER (1827-1915, buried in Davis Cemetery).

  1. I didn’t know it.thanks

    • Yeah ! Keep in mind though, I’m GUESSING that this was a baby boy, and that (he) was a child of Thomas and Laura 🙂

  2. Hmmm SO Arthur Dink Stewart’s second wife Beulah Eller Stewart (written as Bula Stewart on the Draft Registration) has a brother, R. W. Eller in the Pond Springs cemetery and an Uncle Wilson Woody. Do I have that right?

  3. it most likely is Bula since her twin sister was Zula .Wilson Woody is their grandfather
