In Memory of William “Bill” White

“God’s Garden”

A few years ago, before “we” came on the scene, Mr. White used to clear our North and East fenceline, even when his health started to fail.  He went to Heaven a week ago today.  As we had never met him, Mr. White was one of our (what I like to call) “Anonymous Angels”.   His lovely family approached us last week with a request to have a memorial ceremony for him in Pond Springs Historical Cemetery because he loved “God’s Garden” as much as we do.

“Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then you shall truly dance….

For what is it to die, but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun….

And what is it to cease breathing,
but to free the breath, from its restless tides,
that it may rise,
and expand,
and seek God
unencumbered”

~~ Kahlil Gibran ~~

Thank you, Mr. White, and may the warm winds of Heaven blow softly on thee.
