The Drought Affects Pond Springs Cemetery

The Great Texas Drought of 2011 has affected Pond Springs Cemetery. The drought has been affecting the grounds of Pond Springs Cemetery for over 5 mouths but on September 1 an 8-inch limb came crashing out of one of the large Pecan Trees. God’s Little 2 Acres has over 50 trees within its boundaries and the drought has taken its toll on the property. Luckily the limb did not fall on any of the nearby headstones and cause any damage. The limb was cut from the tree and sawn into firewood though it may be years until the wood can be used due to our burn band.
