God’s Garden

At this time “God’s Garden” is in its infancy. The area in the East corner of the cemetery with the Large Forked Pecan Tree is to be transformed into the garden where cremated remains will be spread across the grounds. Here drought resistance plants and flowers will be planted. In the future a bird bath and cement bench may be added allowing the site to be a place of solitude and peace. The pictures show the 2 rows of mulch where the hill-like borders of the garden will be. At first soil with grass will cover the rows of mulch forming the boundary, later flowering bushes and flowers will be on them. Drought resistant bushes will line the fence with many flowering plants throughout the enclosure. Over the years as the garden matures the bushes and plants should be able to sustain themselves. At this time Bill White is our only “Honored” resident of “God’s Garden”. In the future we may have other cremated remains spread across the grounds and a plaque identifying each of them.   – Buster
