Emily Viola (RASOR) RICHARDS

Emily Viola (RASOR) RICHARDS.  How pretty.

Emily Viola RASOR was born in Gonzales Texas to Landon Shaw and Elizabeth E. (WOOD) RASOR 24 September 1889 (1899 per Death Certificate; however she was 11 years old in the 1900 census).  She died in Williamson County Texas 18 September 1934 and is buried in Pond Springs Cemetery with her newborn twins who had died 31 December 1932 & 4 January 1933.  Emily died in childbirth with her sixth known child, who is also undoubtedly also buried in Pond Springs.

Between 1920 and 1930, she married Will RICHARDS.  Not much can be found about Emily, Will, or their family.  Will was born in Mississippi ca 1891.  One of their children, Fleetwood RICHARDS, can be found in the 1940 census in the Trinity Lutheran Home (home For Aged And Orphans), Round Rock Texas.  His sister Elizabeth may be there also, as “Ellen Richards”.

Known children:

i.  William Fleetwood “Bill” RICHARDS, born in Texas ca. 1927.

From descendant Ricky B:

iii.  Harvey Landon RICHARDS, born in Texas ca. 1931.

From descendant Ricky B:

“I noticed there was a Harvey listed with the two kids in 1940 census.  Harvey is listed as 9 years old.  I think he could be another child.  I found him on FAG# 40190385 listed as Harvey “Landon” buried at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery.  Named after his grandfather?”

This led me to research Harvey Landon RICHARDS, born 22 July 1930, died 29 October 2006, buried Austin Texas.  Hopefully more to follow.

iv.  Vernon RICHARDS, twin of Lavern, born and died in Williamson County Texas 31 December 1932, buried in Pond Springs Cemetery.

v.  Lavern RICHARDS, twin of Vernon, born in Williamson County Texas 31 December 1932, died 4 January 1933, buried in Pond Springs Cemetery.

vi.  Infant RICHARDS, likely born and died in Williamson County Texas ca. 18 September 1934, undoubtedly buried in Pond Springs Cemetery with its mother.
