WWI Registrations, Censuses, and Photos of People

This page contains links to the research materials that I have gathered for Pond Spring Cemetery. It’s updated as time allows.  I decided to place this on the blog, because not everyone can afford Ancestry.com, from where most of the info is obtained.  Simply click on the link and the selected file will be downloaded.   Many files are in Zip format.  These files are large and will take a while to download.

  1. Hello, I was walking with my husband and 1 year old Saturday (Easter weekend) and asked if there was a way that I could sign up to help keep this cemetery “alive” if you will. I live around the corner and come here sometimes and get rid of the trash and weeds when I can. I didn’t get to meet Buster though, as he was either spraying roundup or weed-eating the front fence. I’d be honored if I could be part of helping revive and keep PondSprings Cemetery looking it’s best. Just let me know how. I have to have neck surgery on the 13th of April, but the recovery time is about a month, so I’ll be good to go afterwards. I paint as well as do a lot of gardening and love to do research on any and everything. I hope to hear from you soon.

  4. I was doing some research and ran across your website,. My niece and her brothers are from the Shannon family and I see that some of their family are interred there. I sent a link to 2 of the boys so they can learn some of their family history. Their father was the son of Andrew Jackson Shannon and he died when they were very young so they will appreciate this so much. Thank you M Schreck

    • Hello ! I am unsure if I replied, if not, I do apologize ! This is wonderful info and thank you for reaching out !
